FAQ
Short answers for Learner, GM, and Owner. District Manager, Director, Vice President, and Admin use the Owner answers.
This demo is sample data you can tap through. It is not a live store. On a real store you open a personal invite link on your phone.
Everyone
How you get in, when the week is due, and who to ask.
How do I open the app?
You get a personal invite link. It looks like a web address ending in /t/ and a code. Open that link on your phone and tap Continue. There is no password. This phone stays signed in. To use another phone, open the same link there.
If someone texts or emails you the link, tap it. The app does not text you a login code.
When is the week due?
The whole week is due Sunday at 11:59pm in the store’s time zone. There is one deadline for the week, not a separate time for each day.
Day 1 sets which Sunday. Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday Day 1 is due that Sunday. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday Day 1 is due the following Sunday.
Work that arrives after that time counts as late.
Who do I contact?
Reply to your Owner or the person who sent your link. They can answer how your store uses the app and can send a link again.
Learner
You work one day at a time: the day plan, the huddle on days that include one, Learning Hub when that week opens it, the quiz, and Ready for Debrief.
What do I do each day?
Open Home and tap the day (D1 through D5). Follow the plan and submit the activity. Complete the huddle when that day includes one.
Learning Hub and the Quiz stay closed until that week opens them. Hub is not on Day 1 of every week. After the quiz is passed, you can ask your GM to open the next week. The week stays closed until your GM approves it.
What does Ready for Debrief do?
When the day’s work is done, tap Ready for Debrief. That tells your GM you are ready to talk it through. It does not mark Success. Your GM still confirms the day after the debrief.
What do Success and Fail mean?
After the debrief, your GM taps Success or Fail. Success means the day met the standard. Fail means it didn’t meet. You stay on that day and redo what your GM wrote. A later Success clears that Fail.
On a Rompel store, the next day opens after Success. In Week 3 and Week 4, Days 1, 2, and 3 are open without a Success tap. Day 4 waits for Success on Day 3. Day 5 waits for Success on Days 3 and 4.
Can I jump ahead?
No. You must complete the active day before moving forward. Sometimes that means waiting for your GM to mark a debrief or Success.
GM
Your home is Action items. You debrief people who tapped Ready for Debrief, then tap Success or Fail. You also approve the next week when they ask.
What do I do with Ready for Debrief?
They show up under Action items, oldest first. Use the debrief notes, talk with them, then tap Success or Fail.
Success confirms the day. Fail asks what was missed and what to redo. They stay on that day until you tap Success. A later Success clears the Fail.
How do I set the due date?
Open the learner and set the week start date. That date is Day 1. Tap Save due date. After it is saved, Edit due date opens it again. The app sets Sunday at 11:59pm in the store’s time zone from that date.
Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday Day 1 is due that Sunday. Thursday through Sunday Day 1 is due the following Sunday.
When can someone jump ahead?
They can’t. Learners must complete the active day before moving forward. Sometimes that means waiting for the GM to mark a debrief or Success.
How does the next week open?
After they pass the quiz, they can ask you to open the next week. That request shows in Action items. The next week stays closed until you approve it.
Owner
This screen is for Owner, and also for District Manager, Director, Vice President, and Admin. Those titles use this Owner screen.
What do the color chips mean?
Each person on the scoreboard has a chip. Grey reads Not logged in: they have a link and have not opened the app. Green means on track. Yellow means behind, waiting on a debrief, or waiting on a week unlock. Red means they need attention, such as an open Fail or a week you held.
The color is a status, not a grade. Tap a name to open that person’s days.
How do I create someone?
On Owner home, use Create New User. Create the GM first, then the Learner, so you can attach that GM. Pick the organization, the store, and the position. The role fills in from the position, and you can still change it.
Kitchen, Driver, Shift Leader, and Assistant Manager use the Learner screen. General Manager uses the GM screen. District Manager, Director, Vice President, Admin, and Owner use this Owner screen.
Add a name and an email, a phone number, or both. Tap Create. The phone number is stored on the person. The app does not text them.
On the success panel, Copy link puts the invite on your clipboard so you can paste it into a text. Create email opens your mail app with the message started, including the link. You send that email. The app does not send it.
They open the link on their phone. There is no password.
How do I turn off a link?
Use Terminate access link. Search the person in your organization and end one invite link. The seat and any progress stay. That link stops working.
Who can jump ahead?
They can’t. Learners must complete the active day before moving forward. Sometimes that means waiting for the GM to mark a debrief or Success.
