Day 4 — Game Day
Assumed day: Friday 2pm–10pm. Read this entire page at the start of your shift. Rush: any station / observe systems.
Purpose
Demonstrate the ability to prepare for, lead, and execute a high-volume rush using the existing operating system without introducing new tools or changes.
Actions Today
Pre-Rush
Read Mission Statement. Complete your store’s temperature log. Just the times while you are working tonight. Complete the Pre-Rush Huddle Activity. This means LEADING a pre-rush huddle. You may need to ask your GM when the best time is to be the most effective. You are observing this rush. Yes, you led yesterday. Today, watch how the systems you have worked on impact this rush.
Rush
Work any station. If any of your seconds savers from yesterday had an impact, then repeat them today! Protect priority and flow of the team (aces in their places) across Go Zone and Load Zone. Communicate early. No new tools or changes.
Post-Rush
Debrief with the GM. Revisit the Cleaning List from last week. If you were not assigned tasks, ask your GM for what you can do to help the closers. Discuss where preparation helped the rush. Where pressure still showed up. Which seconds savers mattered most.
